THE PROVINCE PROGRAM

ABOUT

Your weekly core class is the bedrock of your dance journey. This is where you learn the fundamentals and continuously improve your technical skills, which form the foundation for your life as a dancer across all platforms: teams, performance, and competition.

The Province program encompasses all dancers in Munster, Leinster, Connaught, and Ulster.

The Province Program is a significant logistical and financial commitment (not unlike moving from recreational to travel teams in youth sports) and the move must be taken thoughtfully to ensure the success of the dancer and family. At the Province level, dancers are required to participate in all three facets of the Trinity Program: solos, teams and TPT. Dancers and families who wish to make this move must be prepared for that commitment.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Munster, Leinster, Connaught

Dancers are eligible to move to the Province Program when they have qualified to compete in the solo championship at the Mid-America Oireachtas, OR have been selected for Munster (U9 & younger) by Province teacher discretion. Trinity moves dancers to Province Classes at specific times of the year, typically December, March/April, and June/July. If your dancer is close to qualifying for solos at the Oireachtas, and therefore the Province Program, please keep in close contact with your primary teacher for guidance as to when and how that transition will be made. Ulster

Dancers are eligible to move from MLC to Ulster when they qualify for the Open Championship level*, and commit to the extra practice and workload required. Dancers may move to Ulster in the following windows: December through March or July through Labor Day. If classes have concluded for the year, dancers can set up focus groups to learn the material so they are caught up when class resumes.

*Dancers must have completed 1 full year of MLC before moving to Ulster, regardless of feis level. If a dancer qualifies for OC prior to completing one year of MLC, they will move at the discretion of their teachers after the first year is complete.

Aran Islands

Dancers are eligible to move to Aran Islands class when they qualify for the World Championships. They will remain in the class until the following Oireachtas, at which point they must have re-qualified in order to remain part of the Aran Islands. Dancers who qualify for the Worlds at the North American Championships will move to Aran Islands immediately upon return from the NAIDC.
